Senator Yemi Adaramodu has spoken about Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan’s decision to finally take her reassigned seat in the Senate chamber.

Speaking in a video shared by Channels TV, Adaramodu said that Natasha raised a point of order and presented her petition from the same seat she had earlier refused to occupy. He stated that this action showed she understood that Order 6 of the Senate rules should be followed. He said that what happened during the previous session, when she protested the seat change, was a serious violation of Senate rules.

In Adaramodu’s word: “Today surprisingly where our sister Natasha said that over her dead body she will never go to the other seat, she was there when she raised her point of order to present her petition to the Senate today (sic). It means that she knew that Order 6 was supposed to be obeyed and what happened on February 20 was a serious infraction against the rule of the senate”
