A Member of Chibok/Damboa/Gwoza Constituency, Ahmadu Jaha reacting to the suicide bombing in Gwoza has alleged that it is highly unlikely for individuals from distant regions such as the South West or South East to infiltrate Borno without inside assistance.

He underscored the importance of addressing internal collusion and the need for heightened scrutiny and accountability within the community. He also highlighted the pervasive complacency among the local population and security agencies. He stated that the lack of vigilance and proactive measures weakens the overall security framework in Borno state.

He said in an interview with Channels TV From 33:35, “The truth is that there is complacency on the part of the people, and there is also complacency on the part of our security agencies. Someone cannot come from the South West or South East to Borno without help from an insider. Whether we like it or not, we have to accept that.”
