The executive governor of Adamawa state, Umaru Fintiri has stated that it will be impossible for the people to get leaders who will be accountable to them if they are are not allowed to choose their leaders.
This statement was contained in a post that he recently shared on his official X handle.
The Adamawa state governor made the comment while reacting to the governorship election that was recently conducted in Edo state.
It is no longer news that the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC declared the candidate of the All Progressive Congress, APC, Senator Monday Okpebholo as the winner of the election after he polled more votes than his competitors.
In the post that governor Fintiri shared on his page, he said as long as the people are not allowed to vote who they want into power, the country can’t get leaders who will be accountable to the people.

“So long as you don’t allow the people to choose their leaders, you can’t get leaders who are accountable to the people”.
