In a video recently shared by Arise TV from 40:35, Senator Adams Oshiomhole, former Governor of Edo State, spoke about the police officer who was killed during an attack on the convoy of Monday Okpebholo, the APC governorship candidate, near Benin airport. He called on the Commissioner of Police to uphold the honor of his position and urged the Inspector General of Police (IGP) to treat the daylight killing of the officer as a serious national issue.
Oshiomhole recalled a similar incident when his personal assistant was killed during his tenure as governor, and the investigation was poorly handled. He insisted that the case of the slain police officer must be thoroughly investigated to ensure justice. As a senator, Oshiomhole promised to bring this matter to the Senate’s attention through the Senate President
In Oshiomhole’s words: “They killed my PA when I was governor and they messed up the investigation, this one must never be messed up. As a senator, I have a voice in the senate and I will draw the attention of the senate through the the uncommon Senate President about the unprovoked killing of the bodyguard of a senator”….Seë_Morë
