According to a video that was posted on the official X account of NEWS CENTRAL TV on Monday, an elder statesman, Jake Epelle has stated that when he chatted with the governor of Rivers state, Siminalayi Fubara a few days ago, he observed that he was traumatized.
This came after the Supreme Court delivered its judgement ordering the Central Bank to withhold Rivers state allocation.
Jake Epelle said when he spoke with Fubara, he observed he was traumatized because he has been unable to perform his role as the governor of Rivers state.
The elder statesman said now that the Supreme Court has delivered its judgement, it’s time for everyone to allow peace to reign in the state.
According to Jake Epelle;
“As an elder, my job is to call for peace. Enough is enough! The pain is too much for the people of Rivers state. Governance has been stiffled. The ability of the sitting governor to do the needful has become practically impossible.
“I chatted with him a few days ago, the guy has just been traumatized. Not because of the judgment, it is just that he can’t do the things that he swore to do”.
