Evans Bipi, a supporter of Governor Sim Fubara and former Chief Whip of the Rivers State House of Assembly, recently spoke about the political feud between Fubara and the current FCT Minister Nyesom Wike.

In a live coverage by Symfoni TV from 8:57, Bipi said that Fubara’s only “offense” is his commitment to using state resources to benefit the people of Rivers State. He said that if Fubara had chosen to share the state’s wealth with certain individuals, he likely wouldn’t face the challenges he currently does.

Bipi also questioned Wike’s claims regarding the Port Harcourt Ring Road project. He said even though Wike was the one who designed the project, Fubara is the one funding the project with resources of Rivers State.

In Bipi’s words “You may ask what is the offence of Governor Fubara. His offense was that he said ‘I must use Rivers money for Rivers people.’ That is the offence, that is just the single offence he has committed. If he had given them all the resources will he be having this problem? You said you are the one that designed the Ring Road but is the money coming from you? Are you the one that paid for it?”
