Otunba Segun Showunmi has written a strong message to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, calling on him to take charge and restore discipline within his government. In his post on X, Showunmi said that many Nigerians are losing hope, not because they hate the country, but because they are tired of disappointment and poor leadership.
He said what Nigeria needs now is real action and responsible leadership that shows care and respect for the people. According to him, the country does not need fancy speeches or drama, but leaders who act with empathy and integrity.
Showunmi criticised some of the president’s aides and associates, saying their arrogant and reckless behaviour is damaging the image of the government. He warned that their conduct is not only embarrassing but also harmful to the nation’s reputation.
He reminded President Tinubu that leadership is not about power or showmanship, but about character and service. He said a president should know when to act, when to correct mistakes, and when to protect the dignity of the office.
Showunmi also cautioned that the rising frustration among Nigerians could grow into anger if things do not change soon. He urged the president to fix the indiscipline and arrogance surrounding his government before it becomes too late.
He ended by saying that history will remember the president not for the noise of his aides, but for whether he had the courage to act and do the right thing for the country.

In his words, “Mr. President, the conduct of your aides and associates is fast eroding public trust. The arrogance, the recklessness, the indecency: all of it is beneath the dignity of the offices they hold and the nation they represent. Their behaviour is not only embarrassing, but it is corrosive.” View, More,
