Senator Shehu Sani, a renowned human rights activist and former lawmaker representing Kaduna central senatorial district has taken to his official X handle to react to the reports regarding the brutal murder of eight officers of the NSCDC by unknown gunmen. According to his statements which drew widespread attention from the general public, he pointed out that the dastardly acts was condemnable.
The news regarding the brutal murder of eight officers of the Nigerian Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) by unidentified assailants generated mixed reactions from the general public after the reports went viral across various social media platforms.
In a twist of events, the officers on duty, came under intense attack from the irredentist, resulting in the death of eight officers while several Chinese nationals were abducted. The incident occurred in Edo State.
Reacting, Senator Shehu Sani, a renowned human rights activist and former federal lawmaker in a recent statement which was shared on his official X handle, disclosed that the act was highly condemnable.
According to his statements, he pointed out that the incident was a tragedy to the whole nation. He equally lamented over the effect the act will have on the affected families. He concluded by advocating for the preparators to be brought to justice.
“Gunmen killed 8 civil Defence officers and abducted some Chinese men in Edo State. A condemnable act and a tragedy for the whole country. They were fathers, Husbands and Breadwinners for some families now in grief. The perpetrators must face justice. My condolences to their families and the NSCDC…” He wrote.
