The Former Senator who represented the good people of Kaduna Central Senatorial Zone, Senator Shehu Sani, has reacted after members of the House of Representatives slashed their salaries, due to the current economic challenges facing the country.
While reacting, Senator Shehu noted that the action of the members of the House of Representatives to slash their salaries is a good gesture, noting that he commends them for doing that. He went on and noted that the real devil is the office running cost and not the salary.
Senator Shehu Sani made this disclosure in a post he made on his official X handle, while reacting to the report.
Shehu Sani wrote: “The Reps slashed their salaries. That is a good symbolic gesture. I commend them. But the real Devil is the Office running cost and not the Salary.”
Recall that it was reported yesterday that the members of the House of Representatives, slashed their monthly salaries, due to the current economic challenges facing the country.
