One of the chieftains of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP and former Kaduna lawmaker who represented Kaduna Central at the National Assembly, Senator Shehu Sani has explained why a Nigerian, Jaja Wachukwu pretended as if he was sleeping during a UN meeting in 1960.

In the post that Senator Shehu Sani shared on his official X handle, he said Jaja Wachukwu acted as if he was sleeping during the meeting because he was denied the right to speak against a rac¡st remark. He said his action was a form of protest to show that everything else was boring at the UN meeting.

Here is what Senator Shehu Sani wrote on his official X handle;

“Ambassador Jaja Wachukwu was not actually sleeping at the UN meeting in 1960. He was denied the right to speak against a rac¡st remark in favour of the then apartheid South African system. His action was a form of protest to show that everything else was boring”….Learn _ Morē
