The tragic death of 18-year-old Rihanat Oyiza Isah has thrown her family and the entire community in Adavi LGA into deep mourning and confusion. Rihanat, who was last seen on June 7th, was later found lifeless in a pool of blood at a local beer parlour under suspicious circumstances.
In a video shared by Arise News from 1:26, according to her father, Isah Abdulraman, the family believes she was a victim of a ritual killing. “She has never brought a boy to this house. She was a very disciplined girl,” he said, visibly heartbroken. “They might have used charms on her to seize her sense of reasoning and then took her to that place.”
The police have confirmed that the bar where Rihanat was found is not licensed to operate as a hotel. Community leaders also claimed they were unaware that such services were being offered at the premises.
Her brother, who found her body, shared disturbing details, saying, “Blood was flowing from her prìvate part, even at the point of burial.” The family was forced to bury her quickly due to continuous bleeding.
While her friends said she left home to meet someone she trusted, none of them knew details about her personal relationships.
The police say a prime suspect, who initially ran away, has now been arrested and is under investigation.
