The Senate Minority Leader and Senator representing Benue South, Senator Abba Moro recently reacted to the controversies in the Senate. According to the statements from his interview with popular news outlet, VANGUARD he pointed out that what was going on in the Senate was unfortunate and avoidable.

The current crisis in the Senate had been the subject of heated debate amongst the populace for days. Notably was the case of sexual harassment claims levelled against it’s president, Senator Godswill Akpabio by the Senator representing Kogi Central, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan.

Reacting to the incident, the Senate Minority Leader, Senator Abba Moro in recent statement which was made available to the general public by news outlet, VANGUARD today being Tuesday the 11th day of March 2025, made it known that the controversies in the Senate was unfortunate.

According to the Senator, the house was currently in disorder, and should have been avoided. However, he made it known that it had happened and steps should be taken to mitigate the consequences.

‘In his words’

“You have given us a name, the Senate House of Commotion. Well, I want to say that what is going on in the Senate is unfortunate and it is avoidable, but it has happened and the step that all of us are taking now is to see how we can mitigate the consequences of what has happened.” He said.

The statements from the Senate Minority Leader came amid the ongoing controversies surrounding the outburst of Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan against Godswill Akpabio which earned her six months suspension.
