The Director of The Abuja School of Social and Political Thoughts, Sam Amadi has reacted after Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Olisa Agbakoba advocated for a constitutional framework for the Economic and Financial Crime Commission, EFCC.

In the post that Olisa Agbakoba shared on his page, he said the EFCC is not a constitutionally established agency.

Here is what Olisa Agbakoba wrote on his page;

“I firmly believe that the EFCC is not a constitutionally established agency, which complicates its role in enforcing corruption measures. I advocate for a distinct constitutional framework for anti-corruption entities, emphasizing the need for a clear separation of powers to establish a robust and independent EFCC. I believe a thorough examination of the EFCC and the creation of a constitutional basis for anti-corruption agencies are essential for effectively addressing corruption and enhancing good governance in Nigeria”.

However, Sam Amadi has now reacted to the statement that was made by the Senior Advocate of Nigeria. In a post that he shared on his official X handle on Saturday, he said Olisa Agbakoba is by far the ablest policy lawyer in Nigeria.

Here is what Sam Amadi wrote on his page;

“Even if you disagree with Olisa Agbakoba’s recommendations you must admit the analytical and conceptual depth of his reasoning. Olisa is by far the ablest policy lawyer in Nigeria, at least of his generation”.
