According to a post on 23 July 2025 by media personality Dele Momodu, former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, made his first public appearance in Rivers State since joining the ADC coalitions.

Amaechi was warmly received at the Port Harcourt International Airport by a crowd of supporters, party faithful, and members of the African Democratic Congress (ADC). The reception was organized ahead of the official unveiling ceremony marking his entry into the ADC coalition movement.

In the words of Dele Momodu, “Reception of H.E. Rotimi Amaechi and other ADC members at Port Harcourt airport for the unveiling ceremony today.”

Amaechi’s return to his home state in this new political capacity has sparked renewed interest in Rivers State politics, with speculations about his next political move already making the rounds.

His alliance with the ADC is seen by observers as a significant shift in the country’s political landscape ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The unveiling ceremony, held shortly after his arrival, was attended by several key figures in the ADC and allied parties, signaling what many describe as a new political chapter for Amaechi.
