Chidi Lloyd, Chairman of Emohua Local Government Area in Rivers State, has expressed his readiness to accept the outcome of the ongoing legal battle, stating that if the judgement doesn’t favour him, he will move on. In an interview with Arise TV from 17:20, Lloyd emphasised that he and his colleagues, who served as campaign coordinators for Governor Siminalayi Fubara in the 2023 local government election, are facing an unprecedented situation.
Lloyd suggested a resolve to abide by the legal process, even if the outcome is unfavourable. He referred to the situation as “novel,” a term used to describe something unprecedented, which highlights the extraordinary nature of the political crisis in Rivers State.
According to him, “If the judgement does not favour us, we move on. That is how it is, but I have always said that. You recall that my colleagues and I are the campaign coordinators of Governor Siminalayi Fubara in the 2023 local government election. Unfortunately, in what the Frenchman will term novel, something that has not happened anywhere.”…..Sēe Morē
