Former Kaduna Central Senator Shehu Sani has ignited a wave of reactions on social media after questioning the effectiveness of the 50 fighter jets that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration plans to purchase.

On his official X handle, Sani expressed his hopes that these jets would surpass the performance of those acquired by the previous government.

The Federal Government recently announced its intention to enhance its anti-banditry operations by acquiring 50 new aircraft, expected to arrive between now and next year, as reported by Punch.

This move aims to bolster security efforts in the North-West region and throughout Nigeria, particularly as terrorists have occupied the Kainji National Park in Niger State.
