There have been several reactions from social media users after it was announced that the leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP has finally expelled the former governor of Rivers state and current Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike from the party.
This announcement was contained in a post that was shared on the official X handle of PDP on Saturday, November 15, 2025.
According to report, the decision was made during the National Convention of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP, held in Ibadan, Oyo state.
Others who were also expelled from the party include, Samuel Anyanwu, former governor of Ekiti state, Peter Ayodele Fayose and Austin Nwachukwu. The people were expelled from the party for allegedly engaging in anti party activities
According to PDP on its official X handle;
“The decision which was promptly ratified by an overwhelming majority of delegates, underscores the party’s commitment to eradicating internal divisions and anti-party conduct that have plagued its progress”.
