The executive Governor of Benue state and chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, Reverend Father Hyacinth Alia has made a pledge to rebuild St. Francis Primary School, Agidi-Mbatiav, where he once received his primary education.

The All Progressives Congress chieftain made the pledge at the Thanksgiving Mass at St. Veronica’s Parish, Agidi-Mbatiav, to celebrate the 50th Priestly Ordination Anniversary and retirement of his mentor, Very Revd Fr. Dominic Jir on Sunday.

The executive Governor of Benue state, Reverend Father Hyacinth Alia stated on his verified Facebook page on Sunday; “Today, at the Thanksgiving Mass at St. Veronica’s Parish, Agidi-Mbatiav, to celebrate the 50th Priestly Ordination Anniversary and retirement of my big brother and mentor, Very Revd Fr. Dominic Jir, I made a pledge to rebuild St. Francis Primary School, Agidi-Mbatiav, where I once received my primary education.”

He added; “It deeply saddens me to witness the football field of our cherished school turned into farmland. Therefore, I am committed to constructing new storey buildings and equipping the school with modern facilities. The aim is to restore the school’s legacy and provide a conducive learning environment for future generations.”
