There have been several reactions from social media users after photos of the former governor of Anambra state, Peter Obi at a meeting with members of the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC surfaced online.

The pictures were shared on the official X handle of Peter Obi.

According to him, the meeting was organized to resolve all issues between the Labour Party, LP and the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC.

In the post that he shared on his page, he said at the meeting, he reiterated his earlier appeal for them to put aside their differences and work together in a spirit of harmony and mutual understanding. Peter Obi stated that after the meeting, he also met with the governor of Abia state, Alex Otti.

Here is what he wrote on his page;

“As part of my ongoing efforts to encourage reconciliation and unity within our rank as Labour Party, I held a productive meeting with the NLC Political Commission. At the all-important meeting, I reiterated my earlier appeal for us to put aside our differences and work together in a spirit of harmony and mutual understanding. I also emphasized the importance of moving forward with a shared sense of purpose and vision. Following the meeting, I also had a fruitful discussion with Governor Alex Otti, updating him on my engaging in constructive dialogue. Our conversation laid the groundwork for future collaboration and progress”.
