There have been several reactions from social media users after the former governor of Anambra state and Labour Party, LP, candidate in the 2023 presidential election, Peter Gregory Obi revealed the length of the meeting that he had with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
This is coming after the former governor of Anambra state and the President attended the inauguration of Pope Leo XIV at the Vatican in Rome.
It would be recalled that several pictures that emanated from the event captured President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Peter Obi smiling together.
However, in a post that the former governor of Anambra state shared on his official X handle on Thursday, he said the meeting only lasted for 1 minute. He said they only greeted one another when they met.
Peter Obi made the revelation following claims that he visited Rome to ask President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to intervene in a matter involving Fidelity Bank.
Here is what he wrote on his official X handle;
“Let me categorically state that I have never sought an audience with, nor met, President Tinubu since he assumed office, except about 1 minute meeting at the arena of Saint Peter’s Basilica Rome during the inauguration Mass of Pope Leo XIV”.
