In a video recently shared by Silverbird TV from 10:48, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, a former governorship candidate of the Labour Party in Lagos, talked about the nationwide protest. He said the issues causing people to protest, like hunger and frustration, are felt all over the country
Rhodes-Vivour said that the Igbos in the southeastern part of Nigeria have chosen not to protest because they often become scapegoats during protests.
In Rhodes-Vivour’s words: “They all thought that this was something that was going to happen only in Lagos because they were still thinking about EndSars, they don’t realize that the hunger is all across Nigeria. It is in Osun, it is in Oyo State, there have been protests there as well. It is over the Middle Belt, it is in the north. The only place that don’t want to protest are the Igbos in south-east because they have always been the scapegoat (as we saw in the last election) of things like this so they have stayed out”….Sêe_Morē
