In a recent prophetic broadcast from 22:27, Nigerian cleric Primate Elijah Ayodele issued a fresh warning to the country’s financial sector, particularly fintech platforms and microfinance institutions. His message highlighted concerns surrounding system errors, management shake-ups, and structural instability within some well-known financial services.
According to Ayodele, several digital banking and financial platforms will encounter unexpected disruptions. He warned, “There’s going to be a lot of errors. There’s going to be challenges,” stressing that the coming months may expose technical and administrative weaknesses within the industry.
One of the platforms mentioned was MoneyPoint, where he predicted significant managerial adjustments. He stated, “MoneyPoint, there’s going to be changes in the management or the role of MoneyPoint. MoneyPoint targets will change.” Although he didn’t specify whether these changes would lead to improvement or setbacks, he emphasized that the transition would be impactful.
Ayodele also commented on OPay, another major player in Nigeria’s digital finance space. He noted that the company may face internal discrepancies and operational inconsistencies. “OPay will also have an error in their account,” he warned, suggesting that financial auditing or regulatory intervention could arise.
Furthermore, the cleric spoke about LAPO Microfinance Bank, indicating potential instability in leadership and operations. He explained, “The management of LAPO, there may be sudden changes and some dramatic steps might be taken.” He added that the institution may struggle with maintaining its current strength, saying, “LAPO may not be as solid as expected.”
