Presidency Reacts After Ex SGF, Babachir Lawal Said Peter Obi Won The 2023 Presidential Election

The presidency has reacted after the former Secretary to Govenment of the Federation, SGF, Babachir Lawal said Labour Party (LP) chieftain and former governor of Anambra state, Peter Obi won the presidential election in 2023.

While speaking during a recent interview on CHANNELS TV, the former SGF claimed that the former governor of Anambra state defeated Tinubu in the election but the result was changed.

Reacting to the statement, Sunday Dare, the Senior Special Adviser on Public Communication to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu said the statement is not true. He said President Bola Ahmed Tinubu won the election. He said when the matter was taken to court, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu was also declared as winner of the election.

According to Sunday Dare on his official X account;

“Your claim that Peter Obi won the 2023 elections is not only egregious but a barefaced lie. The people have spoken, the law has sanctioned it”.
