President Donald Trump has voiced his belief that his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, is destroying his country by not making a peace deal to end the ongoing war with Ukraine.

According to Kyiv Independent, the new President of America expressed belief after the his inauguration on the 20th of January, 2025, that Putin is destroying Russia by failing to reach a peace deal on Ukraine.

Speaking in part, Trump referred to Putin, saying, “He should make a deal. I think he’s destroying Russia by not making a deal.”

The report further stated that the new America’s president who has often promised that he would seek to swiftly end the Russia’s War with Ukraine insisted that he aimed to conclude the conflict as soon as possible, although, he needed to speak with Putin whom he claimed cannot be thrilled with the war since he is not doing so well in it.

He also alleged that “most people thought that the war would have been over in one week.”

Speaking further, he added that the Russia’s President would be “very well off to end the war.”

In continuation, the reigning leader of the United States of America additionally prided about having a good relationship with that of Russia, as well as expressed hopes for reaching a quick peace deal, although, without giving a particular timeline.

He went on to also stated that, while President Volodymyr Zelenskyy of Ukraine has made it known to him that he wanted the war to end, he did not know what Putin wanted.
