Nigerian singer, Portable, has been warned by the court not to interfere with his ongoing case or fight with anyone, his lawyer has said. The singer was arrested recently on multiple charges, including conspiracy, assault, and possession of a cutlass with the intent to harm others.

In a video that was shared by TVC News, According to his lawyer, the case is now being handled by the Ogun State Government, and the prosecution has filed five charges against him. The court initially stood down the matter to allow the government to bring proper charges before proceeding with the trial.

Portable was granted bail after meeting the conditions set by the court. The court required him to provide a reliable surety, and he was released on bail for ₦2 million. His surety must also be a recognized bondsman in Ogun State.

His lawyer emphasized that the court has strictly warned Portable not to speak publicly about the case until the final judgment is given. The magistrate also stated that he does not want to see any media discussions about the matter. Furthermore, Portable has been instructed not to fight or engage in any actions that could interfere with the case.

The trial is set to continue on March 5, when Portable will appear before the court again. His lawyer also reminded him of the importance of following the court’s instructions to avoid further legal trouble.
