According to a report by the Nation News on Saturday, November 8, 2025, the Edo State Police has arrested an 18-year-old teenager identified as Tega Emajuwa after collecting ransom and killing his cousin, Emiliano Egwunbare, for ritual.
It was reported that the suspect Emajuwa and his friends kidnapped Emiliano Egwunbare from Obagie Community. Emajuwa lived with the later Emiliano Egwunbare for some months before he carried out the dirty act. Reports have it that Emajuwa collected ransom from Emiliano Egwunbare’s parents, and he didn’t release him. The Edo State Police was involved after the ransom was paid and Emajuwa was tracked and arrested.
The suspect, Emajuwa, confessed to the crime after he was arrested, and he also mentioned his accomplices, Osayande Vincent and Edugie Destiny. It was their confession that led the police to where Emiliano Egwunbare’s body was dumped inside a well, and some of his vital organs were reportedly missing.
ASP Eno Ikoedem, the deputy Edo police spokesman, confirmed the incident and denied the claims that the suspects have been released. View, More,
