In a recent tweet, Pastor Poju Oyemade, the Senior Pastor of The Covenant Nation, shared nostalgic reflections on the first-ever edition of The Platform Nigeria. The event, which took place on May 1, 2007, has since become a gathering, renowned for its thought-provoking discussions and impactful speakers.

Pastor Poju’s tweet read, “This was our first ever Platform event The Platform Nigeria held on the 1st of May 2007, 17 years ago. We didn’t go on television until 2010, but it quickly grew to a gathering of about 20,000 people at TBS Lagos. Leke Alder was among our first speakers. As we celebrate The Covenant Nation at 30, we will have throwbacks on how the journey evolved.”

The tweet, meant to celebrate the evolution of The Platform and The Covenant Nation’s 30th anniversary, drew various reactions from followers. One particular comment stood out, where a user claimed that Peter Gregory Obi, a prominent Nigerian politician and former governor of Anambra State, was instrumental in making The Platform popular. The user commented, “Nobody will have known about your platform without Peter Obi. Give him the due accolades.”

Pastor Poju responded to the claim with a measured reply, stating, “Maybe you should ask him first if you do have access to him in the first place.”….Seê _ Morê
