Peter Obi, the former governor of Anambra State and Labour Party presidential aspirant in the 2023 presidential elections has recalled a heartfelt moment with the former president Muhammadu Buhari prior to the presidential election. According to his statements which were shared on his official X handle, he pointed out that the former president brought it to his notice that he was loved by the people and admonished him not to forget the poor if he eventually emerged victorious.
More controversial revelations continue to trail following the demise of late President Muhammadu Buhari as in a recent statement, the former governor of Anambra State, Peter Obi recalled a striking moment with the former president.
The revelation was contained in a heartfelt tribute to the former president on his official X handle on Wednesday following his visit to Daura, Katsina state to pay his last respect to the former president.
According to his statements, he narrated how he intended attending the funeral of the late president but was incapacitated due to circumstances beyond his control. However, he was able to pass his condolence across.
Recalling the fateful meeting with the former president, he pointed out that the occasion was in 2022, where activities were in top gear ahead of the 2023 general elections.
He pointed out that during the meeting, the former president strikingly brought it to his notice that he was loved by the people and admonished him not to forget the poor of he eventually emerged victorious.
