Asari Dokubo, a well-known Kalabari leader, has strongly criticized Peter Obi, the former governor of Anambra State. He said Nigerians are giving Obi too much praise without checking what he actually did while in office.
In a video, posted on Facebook, Asari described Obi’s time as governor like a school report card. He said all the results are there, and people should go to Anambra to see for themselves. He believes Obi’s record is not impressive and that many are ignoring the facts.
He also complained about how Nigerians often choose leaders who don’t perform well, then later blame them. Asari said this habit keeps repeating because people don’t learn from past mistakes. He urged voters to focus on real achievements, not just popularity.
“We have the report sheet, the report card of Peter Obi, the examination he took before, we have his grades with us. So when you talk about Peter Obi, we will say, this Peter Obi, this is his report card; it’s in Anambra State, let us go there and check there.”
