The Director of Strategic Communications of the Obedient Movement, Nana Kazaure, has reaffirmed that Peter Obi remains a member of the Labour Party (LP) and an integral part of the political coalition working toward Nigeria’s transformation.

Speaking during an interview on Arise TV’s Daybreak from 16:01, Kazaure dismissed rumours that the former Anambra State governor had left the Labour Party. She explained that Obi continues to be fully involved in the coalition of political forces seeking to “take this government out” and rescue Nigeria from failed governance.

“Peter Obi is still a member of the Labour Party and a key component of the coalition that will eventually take this government out,” Kazaure stated. “I am in the opposition and I’m for the coalition one hundred percent.”

Her comments followed renewed speculation surrounding Obi’s political alignment after his visits to various political figures across the country. Kazaure clarified that it is common for politicians to hold cross-party discussions without immediately switching parties.

She emphasized that Obi’s focus remains on issues such as poverty reduction, education reform, and transparent governance — principles that define the Obedient Movement.

“Leadership is not about changing parties,” she said. “It’s about changing the mindset and policies that have kept Nigeria behind.”

Kazaure maintained that the Obedient Movement and its coalition partners would continue to champion accountability, transparency, and citizen-focused leadership as the nation prepares for the next election cycle. See, More, Here>>>
