Renowned Nigerian cleric, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has once again stirred political controversy with his latest prophecy concerning the Labour Party’s presidential hopeful, Peter Obi.
The outspoken spiritual leader made this known through a statement on his official X account (formerly known as Twitter), warning Nigerians not to place their hopes on Obi as the country’s saviour.
He said, “Peter Obi is not ready to be second trader and these are the crises they will be having. Peter Obi cannot win, because if he becomes Nigeria’s president, Nigeria is in trouble.”
Primate Ayodele did not stop there. He further declared that Peter Obi is merely pretending to be what he is not, claiming that his spiritual insight shows Obi is not the leader Nigerians believe him to be.
“Obi is a pretender, that’s the way I see it in the spirit realm. Obi is not the answer or solution of Nigeria, he is a pretender,” he added.
Peter Obi, a former governor of Anambra State and a prominent figure among Nigeria’s youth and reform-minded voters, has continued to gain widespread support for his message of accountability and good governance.
However, Ayodele’s prophecy has sparked fresh debate online, with critics dismissing his statement as baseless while supporters of Obi insist he remains one of the most credible alternatives to the current political system.
Primate Ayodele, known for his bold and sometimes controversial prophecies, has made headlines over the years with predictions about politics, sports, and national events.
His latest comments have once again placed him at the centre of political discussions as Nigerians look ahead to future elections and the search for true transformational leadership.
