Former presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC), Omoyele Sowore, questioned the chances of Peter Obi, the 2023 Labour Party presidential candidate, in Nigeria’s presidential race, casting doubt regarding his political future.

Speaking In a recent interview shared by NOBLE NIGERIA, He mentioned that within a couple of years, Obi could lose his political party and might have to consider being a deputy for someone else.

He also pointed out potential issues with Obi’s supporters, suggesting they might make excuses for his choices. He said for instance, if Obi were to join a robbery group, supporters might think that he could change for the better once he gains power.

Sowore humorously added that if Obi were to get involved with kidnappers, the supporters could be more worried about how many people were affected.

He said,

“Anybody stands a chance in this republic? In fact, you will be surprised that in two years’ time, Peter Obi may not even have a political party and they may bring in another person. Obi might not even run for president; maybe he might run as a deputy to someone. Because his people are already preparing a public for whomever he becomes. For example, if Obi joins an armed robbery gang, they will tell you, ‘You know, let him just rob until we get power; he will change.’ If he joins a kidnapping gang, they will be like, “Hey, how many people did he kidnap?
