The President of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), Atiku Isah, has shared his perspective on the political appeal of Peter Obi, particularly in northern Nigeria, ahead of future elections.

Speaking in a video from 16:10 posted on Symfoni, Isah noted that Obi possesses certain qualities that resonate strongly with northern voters, especially in terms of personal lifestyle and public image, which he said align with values appreciated in the region.

He, however, pointed out that despite these attributes, there remains a gap in Obi’s political approach in the North, particularly in terms of visibility and connection with grassroots supporters, suggesting that this could affect his electoral performance if not addressed.

According to him, “Let me tell you, there’s something missing in Peter Obi; if he realizes that, he’ll get 40% of Northern votes without even having to bring any top politician from the north to be his vice president. What is it? You see, Peter Obi has something that northerners love and appreciate so much. His frugality, northerners appreciate that, but there’s something missing in Peter Obi. What is missing is that he has not been able to identify the right people and for the ordinary northerners to know who he is. That’s what northerners respect; that’s what they appreciate, and Peter Obi has it as if he were a northerner.” Read_More…
