Chris Nwokobia, convener of the Country First Movement, has come to the defense of Peter Obi, dismissing Bayo Onanuga’s accusations that Obi is plotting protests. In a recent interview with Arise News From 3:00, Nwokobia highlighted Obi’s commitment to due process, noting that even after allegedly losing the election, Obi did not call for protests during the judicial process.

Nwokobia emphasized that Obi’s love for due process is evident, even to his greatest critics. He questioned the logic of Onanuga’s claims, asking why Obi would wait over a year after the election to incite protests.

“Peter Obi allegedly lost an election last February, he did not call the people out to protest… It’s a year and months after that, he would sit back and ask people to protest. This is something even the greatest critic of Peter Gregory Obi would say. He loves due process,” Nwokobia said.

By defending Obi’s character, Nwokobia aims to counter Onanuga’s narrative and promote a more nuanced understanding of the situation.

“Peter Obi allegedly lost an election last February, he did not call the people out to protest, through the period of the Judicial process, he did not call the people out to protest. It’s a year and months after that, he would sit back and ask people to protest. This is something even the greatest critic of Peter Gregory Obi would say. He loves due process” he said….Seë_Morë
