The Enugu state SSG, Prof Chidiebere Onyia has stormed the State Secretariat Complex after people were told to stay at home.
In the viral video that was shared on the official X handle of Dan Nwomeh, the Special Adviser to Governor Peter Mhah on Media, the SSG was seen telling the workers not to obey any order from non state actors.
Here is what he said;
“When His Excellency came in, the first declaration he made was that any form of Sit-at-home directive from non state actors in Enugu state is illegal and can not be adhere to. Today, we heard that some non state actors have been circulating things that people should not come to work. But I am happy that majority of you people showed up at work today. Tomorrow, I will be here at 8:30 in the morning. Those Who didn’t come today will not be paid”.
However, after sharing the video, Dan Nwomeh wrote on his page;
“No sitting idly at home in Enugu. Ndi Igbo are known globally for industry and productivity. We must erase the senseless sit-at-home from our memories. Enugu State SSG, Prof Chidiebere Onyia addressing civil servants at the State Secretariat Complex, this morning”.
