Nyesom Wike, a key leader in the Peoples Democratic Party and the current Minister of the FCT, has criticized the rival faction of the PDP during a recent NEC meeting of his own faction. He accused them of ignoring court orders while going ahead with a convention that he said was not recognized by the national electoral body.

In a video from 10:38 shared by SYMFONI TV, he explained that politics should not be based on emotions or repeated slogans. According to him, some members of the other faction like to claim that party issues are internal matters that courts cannot interfere with. Wike argued that only the courts can truly explain their own judgments, not politicians repeating statements that suit their interests. He said that if anyone believes the Supreme Court supports their actions, they should present the actual judgment instead of relying on propaganda.

Wike then aimed his criticism at Bode George, a senior figure in the PDP. He suggested that George speaks about Supreme Court rulings without fully understanding them. Wike mocked him by saying he talks about the court all the time even though he is not currently holding any position. He also questioned whether George had ever read the Supreme Court decision that cleared him in the past.
