Arc Uche Rochas, a prominent chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has stated that the opposition PDP must zone its 2027 presidential ticket to the South, but not South East.
In a post on his official X handle on Thursday, July 17, 2025, Rochas stressed that the country does not need a South East ticket now.
Rochas wrote, “The PDP must zone its ticket to the South, but it should not, and will not, go to the South East at this time. That’s not the kind of ticket we need right now.”
He suggested the ticket should go to either the South South or South West. According to him, only Nyesom Wike and Seyi Makinde truly understand the importance of power in the current political climate.
He wrote, “It should be either South South or South West. It’s only Wike and Makinde that knows the importance of power.”
