One of the chieftains of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Segun Showunmi has reacted to the statement that was made by popular Nigerian prophet, Primate Elijah Ayodele.
His statement was contained in a post that he shared on his official X handle on September 20, 2025.
Segun Showunmi reacted after the prophet was seen in a viral video saying what will happen if President Bola Ahmed Tinubu proceeds with the 5% tax on fuel. In the video that surfaced online, Ayodele said President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will be defeated in the 2027 presidential election if he executes it.
“Tinubu, this 5% tax on fuel, if you execute it, your government is gone. Remove it! People will mismanage it for you and your govenment. Nigerians don’t want the 5% but if you insist that it must go, your govenment will go at the same time. I’m telling you”.
However, Segun Showunmi has now shared his thoughts after the video surfaced online, in a post that he shared on his page, he said a nation with serious leaders would have put some plans in place to end people who profit at the expense of the citizens.
“A well run nation under very serious leaders would have implemented a very comprehensive ecumenical framework to put an end to these charlatans who profit at the expense of our citizens and the lord Jesus Christ”. See, More, Here>>>>
