Renowned media mogul and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) stalwart Dele Momodu has sharply criticized Minister Nyesom Wike over his recent public outburst, describing the FCT Minister as “a master of tragicomedy” who lacks a grasp of real-world business realities.
In a scathing Instagram comment, Momodu questioned Wike’s logic behind revoking land titles of prominent individuals over unpaid ground rents—especially his pointed mention of Chief Bode George, a revered PDP elder.
“If he ever sweated to build a business empire, he would have understood that not even ALIKO DANGOTE can pay all bills at once… The richest people are owing banks and contractors,” Momodu noted.
He accused Wike of lacking business acumen and assuming wrongly that residents of upscale neighborhoods are flush with liquidity. More pointedly, he condemned Wike’s “personal attack on Baba Olabode George” as being “in terribly bad taste.”
“He made sure to read out his name out of thousands of defaulters… What chicanery!!” Momodu fumed.
