Mosab Hassan Yousef, the son of a Hamas co-founder and a former member of the militant group, has once again stirred controversy with his recent statement on his verified Twitter account.

In a powerful post, Yousef called for peace between Arabs and Jews but stressed the need to eliminate the violent ideology that, according to him, has been ingrained in generations of Palestinians.

Yousef, known for his defection from Hamas and public criticism of the group, stated that while Arabs and Jews will eventually find peace, the ideology of revenge and hatred promoted among Palestinians must be rejected. He referred to the “Palestinian” violent ideology as the root cause of the ongoing conflict and emphasized that this mindset has been passed down through generations, making peace unattainable without a significant shift in thought.

He controversially argued that Palestinians, as they are known today, would only be remembered for their violence against what he described as “every legitimate ethnicity” in the region, referring to Arabs, Jews, Kurds, and Persians. In his view, rewarding Palestinian violence has been a failed approach, and holding them accountable for their actions is the first step toward real peace.

Yousef’s message, though harsh in its tone, focused on the future of the children in Gaza. He expressed a strong belief that Gaza’s children should not be labeled as “Palestinians,” arguing that these labels are forced upon them and limit their opportunities for a peaceful future. He urged that these children be allowed to choose their destiny, free from the burdens of violence and revenge. In an emotional plea, he declared, “I will not tolerate any individual or movement who tries to steal their future.”

His statement took a more aggressive turn when he expressed his willingness to take action against those who perpetuate past tragedies. In his final words, Yousef made a harsh condemnation of Palestine and Palestinians, using explicit language to convey his frustration and disapproval of the ongoing conflict.
