Reverend Ezekiel Dachomo, regional chairman of the Church of Christ in Nations (COCIN), Plateau State, has given his take on the alleged persecutions of Christians in Nigeria.
In recent times, the president of the United States of America, Donald Trump, has threatened to enforce a military action in Nigeria over the alleged genocide against Christians across the country.
However, during an interview with Voice of the People TV from 5:02, Reverend Ezekiel Dachomo, Regional Chairman of the Church of Christ in Nations (COCIN), Plateau State, acknowledged that there is a genocide against Christians in Nigeria.
He maintained that the persecutions of Christians in Nigeria could be dated back to the days of Usman Dan Fodio, when he conquered various states and made a Fulani indigene their new leader.
Reverend Dachomo emphasized that the Jihadist group led by Usman Dan Fodio succeeded in his conquest, but he was resisted in Benue and Plateau states.
He mentioned that his forefathers gave their lives and refused to forcefully join Islam and stood up to Usman Dan Fodio until he was no more.
According to the video, “Our forefathers gave their lives and refused to join Islam; they fought till the finish until Dan Fodio was no more.” View, More,
