A Former Edo State Governor and A Senator representing Edo North Senatorial District, Adams Oshiomhole has alleged that the governor of Edo, Godwin Obaseki invited the former Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo to Benin for the groundbreaking ceremony of an industrial park. He noted that the event was heavily publicized and attended by people from various countries, including Singapore and Malaysia.

However, he pointed out that the project has not materialized, and the site has reverted to a forest. He criticized the state government’s inability to deliver on its promises. He cited another example of the Man’s Housing Unit project, which was launched with great fanfare but has yet to be completed. He noted that the project was also initiated during the tenure of the Former Vice President but has not made any progress since his departure.

He said in a live coverage by TVC from 13:09, ”Osinbajo came to Benin on the invitation of Obaseki to set up an industrial park groundbreaking ceremony. And it was celebrated with all manners or coloured people who were paraded from Singapore to Malaysia. As we speak, that place is a huge forest today.

Not one Tomatoe, not one groundnut processing company is there. And again, he brought the Former Vice President to do what they called Man’s Housing Unit but it has not come to reality since the Former Vice President left office. From Edo South to Edo North, people are lamenting about poverty.”
