Prophet Joshua Iginla, the founder of Champions Royal Assembly, has condemned the ongoing attacks against Christians and other citizens in parts of Nigeria, describing them as undeniable realities that require urgent government attention.
Speaking in a YouTube message from 00:30, Iginla said it would take “someone who is blind” to deny that Christians are being killed in the country.
“It’s only somebody that is blind that would say that Christians are not being killed in Nigeria. Christians are being killed, and so also Muslims are being killed,” he said.
He stressed that violence against citizens, regardless of religion, must be treated as a national concern and not a divisive issue. Iginla expressed worry over reports suggesting that the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) might have dismissed such killings, urging the leadership to conduct a proper investigation.
“I don’t know if it is true that CAN was dismissing that, but if that is true, I think the leadership should go and make a good investigation about that,” he added.
The cleric stated that the government has made notable progress in combating terrorism and insecurity but can still do more to protect communities vulnerable to attacks.
He described the situation as heartbreaking, pointing out that mass burials of victims continue in some regions. “We see it; we know it. These are our brothers and sisters,” Iginla said.
According to him, acknowledging the truth about the killings is not an attempt to discredit the government but a call to strengthen the nation’s security system.
He urged all religious leaders and Nigerians to speak with one voice against bloodshed and to seek peace through prayer, action, and unity. View, More,
