Former Governor Nyesom Wike has stated that Governor Siminalayi Fubara has not been kind to Chief Ferdinand Anabraba, OCJ Okocha and Chief Sergeant Awuse. He said Fubara once described these persons on national television as the “3 wise men” who supported him in becoming governor.

In a live coverage by Channels TV from 1:26:58, Wike said Fubara abandoned Awuse during a time of need. He said Awuse was removed from his position as chairman of the Rivers State Traditional Rulers Council while he was gravely ill in London. According to Wike, this decision came at a time when Awuse was seeking help and support from Fubara.

In Wike’s words: “One of the 3 wise men was removed when he was in coma, when he was looking for support and help from that man (Fubara) that he stood firm for. At the time he needed support, that was when he was removed as chairman of Rivers State Traditional Rulers Council”.
