In a recent YouTube video, Prophet Joshua Iginla, founder and senior pastor of Champions Royal Assembly, shared a message addressing the tendency of people to seek out prophets only during times of trouble.
He emphasized the importance of maintaining consistent and sincere relationships with spiritual leaders and God.
“Once you have a problem, you remember the prophet; after the problem, you forget,” Iginla stated, highlighting a common pattern among many believers. He stressed that this behavior not only disrespects the prophets but also undermines the value of genuine, continuous relationships.
Iginla elaborated on the difference between those who need you and those who truly value and honor you. Drawing a parallel to the biblical story of a woman feeding Jesus with honor, he pointed out that some people only reach out when they need something, never offering anything in return. “When you have friends in need, they are not friends indeed,” he remarked, urging people not to make such individuals their responsibility.
The prophet criticized those who ignore their spiritual leaders and then suddenly demand attention when they face difficulties. “For six months, you never called me, but the day you called me, you asked me for money,” he noted, comparing this behavior to trying to make a withdrawal from a bank without following the proper protocols.
Iginla emphasized that just because the church is a place of worship, it does not mean there are no procedures. He condemned those who abandon the church for long periods and then return, expecting immediate attention and preferential treatment. “If everybody left church the way you left church, would the church be the same when you return?” he questioned.
He also touched on the misuse of prophets, explaining that some members treat them like consultants rather than spiritual guides. “Most of you members are the reason why most prophets have become witches because you see prophets as people you consult,” he stated, urging believers to build their primary relationship with God….Seë_Morë
