The Special Adviser to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Bayo Onanuga has stated that Labour leaders appreciated the President after he approved the sum of N70K as minimum wage.
He made the statement on his official X handle on Thursday. This is coming after the President held a meeting with leaders of the organized labour in Abuja. In the post that Bayo Onanuga shared on his page, he said during the meeting, the President approved N70k as minimum wage. He said the President also made a promise to review the national minimum wage law every three years.
Bayo Onanuga said after Tinubu announced the decision at the meeting, the Labour leaders applauded him for the fatherly gesture.

“President Bola Tinubu has approved N70,000 minimum wage for Nigerian workers with promise to review the national minimum wage law every three years. President Tinubu also promised to find ways to assist the private sector and the sub-nationals to pay the minimum wage. The Labour leaders applauded President Tinubu for the fatherly gesture as the President also promised to use his discretionary powers to meet the demands of university unions demanding unpaid 4 months salaries”….Seë_Morë
