In a recent statement via his official X account, Chidi Odinkalu, a well-known law professor and former Chairman of the National Human Rights Commission, has shared his thoughts on social media about a recent controversy.

The discussion began when a user on X, a popular social media platform, expressed concerns about a new book written by MC Oluomo, a well-known figure in Lagos.

“Agbero write book for graduates to read. Nigeria my country,” the user wrote.

The term “Agbero” is often used in Nigeria to refer to people who work as touts or in other informal transport-related jobs.

MC Oluomo, whose full name is Musiliu Akinsanya, is the chairman of the Lagos State Parks and Garages Management Committee.

His new book has brought mixed reactions from the public.

Some people are surprised that a person like MC Oluomo, known more for his work in the transport sector than in academics, has written a book.

The comment on X seemed to express surprise or disbelief that someone with MC Oluomo’s background could write a book that graduates would read.

The post caught the attention of Chidi Odinkalu, who is known for his outspoken views on social and political issues in Nigeria.

In response to the user’s comment, Odinkalu simply expressed his thoughts.

“Go to court,” Odinkalu wrote.

This short but direct response from Odinkalu has brought further discussion on the platform….VìêwMorê
