Peter Obi, the former governor of Anambra State and erstwhile Labour Party presidential candidate has taken to his official X handle to voice his displeasure over the antics of those who vehemently opposed the comments of President Donald Trump. According to the statements which were shared on his official X handle, he pointed out that the vicious occurrences within one week.
The controversial designation slammed on Nigeria by President Donald Trump and the accompanied threats to impose sanctions and possibly military intervention generated massive controversies, with many arguing that his comments were misguided.
However, the recent happenings across the country tend to validate the statements of the American President. This was according to Peter Obi, the former governor of Anambra State and 2023 Labour Party presidential candidate who voiced our his displeasure over the antics of the critics.
According to the statements which were published on his official X handle on Wednesday November 19th 2025, he pointed out that when president Trump described Nigeria as a disgraced country, many were outraged. However, the recent happenings have lend credence to his comments.
Peter Obi, known for his fierce disposition towards insecurity, pointed out that within a week, a military general was killed while twenty five school children were reportedly abducted. These, proved that President Donald Trump was accurate in his description.
