Daniel Bwala, special adviser to President Bola Tinubu, has stated that former Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, Peter Obi, is a billionaire but has not done enough to give back to society.
In an interview with OAP Nedu Wazobia on The Clarity Zone Podcast from 35:14, Bwala said there is no record that Peter Obi has ever set up a foundation or funded a major public project with his personal money. He said Obi has never donated as much as 100 million naira to the public at any time. He said Obi gives money to people, but mostly in smaller amounts like 5 million naira or, at most, 50 million naira as gifts.
In Bwala’s words: “Peter Obi is a multi-billionaire, there is no record that Peter Obi has floated a foundation. Because any man who believes he has a passion for humanity, everyman that I have seen in terms of big men they have floated a foundation, a school, or anything that has to do with public interest and fund it so they can meet the needs of the masses.
