Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has reacted after former Governor Ayodele Fayose asked him to refund a certain amount of money he (Fayose) gave to him.
According to a report by AIT on Monday, November 17, 2025, Obasanjo said he has returned the money Fayose gave him. He stated that he sent the money back through Foluso Adeagbo, the same person who Fayose sent to deliver the money to him
Obasanjo stated that the money was returned in the same bag it was delivered in and that he did not even open the bag himself. Obasanjo also criticized Fayose for abusing him over the comments he made at his (Fayose’s) 65th birthday celebration party.
